System requirements
Runa is a desktop app and runs on macOS and Windows. A stable internet connection is required for transcription and AI note generation.Troubleshooting audio permissions
If Runa records but produces an empty or blank transcript, audio permissions are the most common cause. Double-check the following:- macOS: Confirm that both Microphone and Screen Recording access are enabled for Runa in System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Windows: Confirm that Microphone access is enabled for Runa in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Runa captures audio from your computer’s system output — the same audio you hear through your speakers or headphones. It does not require access to your meeting platform’s internal audio stream.
