Templates control how Runa structures the notes it generates from your meetings. Instead of producing a generic summary, Runa uses your template to populate specific sections — action items, decisions, customer feedback, follow-ups — in whatever format your team needs. You can use one of Runa’s built-in templates or build your own from scratch.Documentation Index

Create a custom template
If none of the built-in templates fit your workflow, you can create your own. Custom templates let you define exactly which sections appear and what each one captures.Open Templates in settings
In the Runa app, go to Settings and select Templates. You’ll see your existing templates and a button to create a new one.
Name your template
Give the template a clear name that reflects the meeting type — for example, “Sales Discovery Call” or “Board Meeting.”
Define your sections
Add the sections you want Runa to populate. For each section, write a short description of what it should capture. For example: “List all commitments made by Runa’s team, with the owner and due date.”
Apply a template to a meeting
When viewing a completed meeting, open the Notes tab and click the template selector. Choose the template you want to use and Runa will regenerate the notes in that format. You can switch templates at any time — the original transcript is always preserved.Related
