Runa is designed for the conversations that matter most. Your meetings, notes, transcripts, and company context stay private to your workspace. Runa does not use your data to train AI models, and admins have direct control over how long data is retained.Documentation Index

Runa does not train AI models on your data. Your conversations, notes, transcripts, and company context are never used to improve Runa’s AI or shared with third parties for model training.
What stays private
Every piece of content you create in Runa — meeting transcripts, AI-generated notes, AI chat conversations, and your company brain — is private to your workspace. Content is associated only with your account and is not shared with other customers or third parties. Runa’s bot-free approach reinforces this: because Runa captures audio directly from your computer rather than joining calls as a participant, there is no visible bot in your meetings and no third-party bot service handling your audio stream.Transcript and note storage
You control how long your transcripts and summaries are stored. Workspace admins can configure data retention in Settings > Admin > Data retention. The available options are:- Do not store — Transcripts are discarded immediately after your notes are generated. Nothing is persisted beyond the output.
- Short-term storage — Transcripts are kept for a limited period, then automatically deleted.
- Long-term storage — Transcripts are retained until you choose to delete them.
Enterprise-grade security
Organizations on the Enterprise plan receive additional security controls, including single sign-on (SSO) and access to Runa’s Enterprise API. These features give IT and security teams centralized authentication management and deeper integration with existing security infrastructure. See Plans and pricing for a full comparison, or Set up SSO to configure single sign-on for your organization.Frequently asked questions

How long are transcripts stored?
How long are transcripts stored?
That depends on the data retention setting your admin has configured. Transcripts can be set to not be stored at all, kept short-term, or retained long-term. If you are unsure which setting your workspace uses, check with your workspace admin or go to Settings > Admin > Data retention.
What happens if I delete my account?
What happens if I delete my account?
When you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed from Runa’s systems. If you are part of a team workspace, your admin may retain workspace-level content such as shared notes and folders according to the workspace’s data retention settings. Contact support before deleting your account if you have specific data removal requirements.
Can other team members see my meetings?
Can other team members see my meetings?
By default, your recordings and notes are private to you. You can share individual notes or place them in shared folders to make them visible to your team. Workspace admins can access team-level settings and metadata, but do not automatically have access to every member’s individual notes.
Does the bot-free approach improve privacy?
Does the bot-free approach improve privacy?
Yes. Because Runa captures audio directly from your computer — rather than joining your call as a visible bot — there is no third-party participant in your meetings, and no bot service receives your audio stream.
