After a meeting ends, there is usually a set of follow-up tasks that needs to happen: someone updates the CRM, someone sends a summary to Slack, someone logs action items in the project tracker. Runa’s workflows automate these steps using AI, so the post-meeting work happens without anyone having to do it manually. You set up the workflow once, and Runa handles it after every matching meeting.

How workflows work

A workflow is a set of automated actions that Runa runs after a meeting, using the transcript and notes as input. Runa uses the latest AI models with tool access to understand the content of your meeting and take the right action in the connected tool. For example, a workflow can read a customer call transcript, identify the relevant deal in your CRM, and update the opportunity with a summary and next steps — without you opening the CRM.

Available workflow actions

Runa supports the following workflow actions out of the box: Update Docs — Write a summary or notes from the meeting directly into a shared document, such as a customer account doc, a project brief, or a decision log. Send Slack — Post a formatted summary of the meeting to a Slack channel or send a direct message to a specific person. Useful for keeping teammates who weren’t on the call informed. Add to Tracker — Create tasks or update existing issues in project tracking tools. Runa supports Asana and Linear. Update CRM — Sync meeting notes and next steps to your CRM. Runa can update deal records, log activities, and capture follow-up items from sales and customer calls.

How to create a workflow

1

Open workflow settings

In Runa, go to Settings and select Workflows. Click New workflow to get started.
2

Choose when the workflow runs

Select the meeting type or folder that should trigger this workflow. For example, you can apply a workflow to all meetings in your “Customer Calls” folder or to any meeting using the Customer Feedback template.
3

Add an action

Choose the action you want Runa to take after the meeting: Update Docs, Send Slack, Add to Tracker, or Update CRM. You can add multiple actions to a single workflow.
4

Configure the action

For each action, specify where Runa should send the output and what information to include. For example, for a Slack action, choose the channel and the format of the message Runa should post.
5

Save and activate

Save your workflow. Runa will run it automatically after every qualifying meeting going forward. You can pause, edit, or delete workflows at any time from the Workflows settings page.

Connecting your tools

Workflows require your tools to be connected to Runa. Visit the integrations section to connect Slack, your CRM, Asana, Linear, and other tools.
