After every meeting, Runa generates a set of structured notes from the transcript. Instead of receiving a raw text dump, you get a formatted summary tailored to the type of conversation you just had — with action items called out, key decisions captured, and the content organized in a way your team can act on immediately.
Use templates to make sure your notes always match your team’s preferred format. A sales team running customer discovery calls has different needs than an engineering team running standups — templates let each team get the right output without manual editing.

What meeting notes look like

Runa’s AI reads your transcript and produces a structured document. Depending on the template you use, this can include:
  • A short summary of what was discussed
  • A list of decisions made during the call
  • Action items with owners and due dates (where mentioned)
  • Key quotes or feedback captured verbatim
  • Next steps and follow-up items
Notes are formatted consistently, making them easy to share, paste into a doc, or trigger as part of a workflow.

Customizable templates

Templates define how Runa structures the notes for a given meeting type. You can select a template before or after a meeting, and Runa applies it to the transcript. Built-in templates include: Customer Feedback — Captures product feedback, pain points, feature requests, and customer sentiment from discovery calls, user interviews, and support conversations. Investor Updates — Structures notes around metrics, progress against milestones, risks, and asks — formatted for investor-facing communication. Team Meeting — General format covering agenda items, decisions, blockers, and action items for recurring team syncs and all-hands. Eng Standup — Concise format for engineering standups: what was done, what’s in progress, and any blockers. You can also create your own templates to match internal formats or specific meeting workflows your team repeats regularly. See the templates guide for instructions on building custom templates.
